ESPN Mock: Willis Signs with Vikings

In ESPN's mock negotiation for Packers QB Malik Willis, the free agent chose a one-year, $20M guaranteed deal with the Minnesota Vikings over offers from the Cardinals and Jets.

ESPN simulated negotiations involving six teams interested in Willis, with only the Cardinals, Jets, and Vikings making offers. The Cardinals offered a two-year, $33 million deal, while the Jets presented a two-year, $40 million contract similar to Justin Fields' deal. The Vikings' one-year, fully guaranteed $20 million offer was selected by ESPN's Dan Graziano, who noted it gave Willis the best chance to have a strong season and secure a bigger contract in 2027.

Teams can begin legally negotiating with Willis on Monday. The Browns, Dolphins, and Steelers passed on making offers due to salary cap concerns. Despite the mock scenario, many expect Willis to command a higher price on the open market given the number of teams with quarterback questions entering free agency.
