Browns Hold On to Bitonio Future

Cleveland Browns are showing interest in retaining veteran guard Joel Bitonio, who has earned the right to take time deciding on retirement or return.

Despite being past his prime, Bitonio remained a solid blocker last season while playing on an historically inept offense. The Browns quietly pushed back his void date in mid-February, potentially giving them flexibility to spread his dead cap hit if he retires.

Head coach Todd Monken recently praised Bitonio's professionalism and preparation, while GM Andrew Berry indicated the team respects his decision-making process. The Browns' approach differs from their handling of Nick Chubb last year, showing genuine interest in bringing Bitonio back for a 13th season.
