Oklahoma Wins Series Despite Gonzaga Game 3 Victory

No. 13 Oklahoma clinched the three-game series against Gonzaga 2-1, despite the Bulldogs winning Sunday's finale with a five-run eighth inning.

Mikey Bell's two-run home run in the second inning helped Gonzaga win Game 3, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Sooners' series victories in the first two games. Oklahoma's Brendan Brock hit a solo homer in the sixth, while Gonzaga starter Karsten Sweum limited OU to just three hits and one run with seven strikeouts.

The Bulldogs broke the game open with a five-run eighth inning, but the Sooners secured their second win of the season with the series victory. Oklahoma will next face Dallas Baptist in a one-game matchup on Tuesday before hosting Santa Clara for a three-game series next weekend.
