Lincoln Stuns O'Dea in Basketball Upset

Lincoln High School, the No. 6 seed, pulled off a major upset by defeating No. 2 O'Dea 71-58 in the Class 3A state tournament regional round on Saturday night.

Lincoln's sophomore duo of Davion Shareef-Dulaney and Justus Holt combined for 45 points, with Holt scoring a game-high 23 and Shareef-Dulaney adding 22. The Tacoma-based team never trailed after an early lead and answered every run from the favored Seattle-based Irish.

The victory sends Lincoln to the 3A state tournament quarterfinals at the Tacoma Dome with a first-round bye. Lincoln coach Ryan credited his team's execution of the game plan and physical defense as key factors in the upset win that silenced Metro League doubters.
