Texas A&M Secures Icelandic Midfielder Brynja Knudsen for 2026

First‑year head coach Bobby Shuttleworth announced the signing of Brynja Knudsen, the second Icelandic player in Texas A&M history. Knudsen, who has 12 caps for Iceland’s youth national squads and played in the country’s top division, will strengthen the Aggies’ midfield for the 2026 campaign.

Shuttleworth said Knudsen’s technical ability and game reading will add both on and off the field. She joins former Aggie Ásdís Halldórsdóttir as the only Icelandic players to represent the Maroon and White.
