Local Girls Basketball Teams Chase District 11 Titles

Three local teams will compete for District 11 girls basketball championships this weekend. In Class A, Weatherly (7-15) faces Bethlehem Christian (16-3) on Saturday after the Wreckers upset Notre Dame. Class 2A features Williams Valley and Marian Catholic, who split their regular-season matchups, with the Fillies winning five straight. In Class 3A, Pine Grove battles Notre Dame Green Pond for the final District 11 playoff spot.

Class 4A championship will pit Allentown Central Catholic against Blue Mountain on Saturday. Meanwhile, two Schuylkill League programs are also looking to secure spots in the PIAA State Playoffs beginning next week.
