Cubs beat Guardians behind Cabrera, Swanson

Edward Cabrera impressed in his Cubs debut, striking out three in two scoreless innings, while Dansby Swanson homered and drove in three runs as Chicago defeated Cleveland 8-6 in spring training.

The Cubs bullpen had mixed results, with Ryan Rolison, Daniel Palencia, Collin Snider and Jacob Webb combining for four scoreless innings. However, Porter Hodge struggled, allowing five runs in the seventh. Chicago rallied back with four runs in the eighth, highlighted by Leonel Espinoza's bases-clearing double.

Pedro Ramirez made a key defensive play in the ninth, helping Gavin Hollowell secure the save despite giving up a run. The game drew 11,217 fans at Sloan Park, bringing the spring training total to 56,039.
