No hiding place, says Bantams skipper Power

Bradford City captain Max Power says the club's players know their poor away form is threatening the Bantams' hopes of securing a second successive promotion.

Saturday's stoppage-time defeat at play-off rivals Reading, conceding twice in the final eight minutes, means Bradford have claimed just one win in their past eight away matches.

They remain fourth, inside the play-off places, but the gap to seventh-placed Reading is now down to seven points.

Power told BBC Radio Leeds: "In recent away games we've let ourselves down, not performing. However, at Reading it was the perfect away performance for 89 minutes, like we play at home.

"If we hit those performance levels away from home from now until the end of the season, we'll pick up more points than we'll lose."

Bradford's problems on their travels are in stark contrast to their form at Valley Parade.

They have won 13 of their 17 home matches since going up, the joint second most in the division behind leaders Cardiff.

Power, a three-time League One title winner with Wigan, joined Bradford in May 2025 as the club's first signing since their return to the third tier.

"There's 12 games to go," Power added. "We've not paid too much attention to (the table). It's easy to get caught up in that. We know what we've got to do.

"Let's keep searching, there's no hiding place in football. Games are going to come think and fast.

"Before you know it, we'll be into single-digit games, and we're going to come to the business end of the season. We just need to look to improve, that's all we can do."

This month, the Bantams welcome Leyton Orient, Mansfield and Plymouth Argyle, with away trips to three sides currently in the bottom eight - Port Vale, Wigan and Burton Albion.
