The Boston Red Sox put together an interesting defensive unit on Saturday.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Caleb Durbin, Trevor Story and Marcelo Mayer will make up the infield, in that order around the diamond, during the club's afternoon matchup with the Baltimore Orioles at JetBlue Park.
Wilyer Abreu and Willson Contreras will play their final spring training game before departing to play for Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic, with fellow teammates slated to play in the international tournament having already left on Sunday.
Durbin and Mayer, the leaders in the clubhouse to play second base and third base, will make their first starts at their respective positions in the same game this spring. Durbin previously played third base, while Mayer previously played second base.
