CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Philadelphia 76ers convened for practice on Saturday afternoon to prepare for a matchup with the Boston Celtics on the road on Sunday. The Sixers will be looking to build off Thursday's win over the Miami Heat, but they may have to do it without Joel Embiid.
The big fella reported some soreness in his right side after the win over the Heat and did not participate in practice on Saturday. The Sixers did say that an update on his status for the contest against the Celtics will be given later when the injury report is released for the game.

Embiid did make a big shot late to seal the win over the Heat despite clearly grabbing at his right side the entire game. Rookie VJ Edgecombe had a message for those who criticize Embiid after the win as he praised him for battling through the issues.
The Sixers and the Celtics will tip off at 8 p.m. EST from the TD Garden on Sunday.
