Eli Stowers is expected to be a top tight end selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. 

He has excelled over his career at Vanderbilt, showing that his conversion from quarterback to a tight end was seamless. Stowers finished his three-year college career with 1,773 yards and 11 touchdowns on 146 receptions. 

His talent on the field has been well-known, and there were high expectations for him to test well at the 2026 NFL Combine. Stowers likely blew those expectations out of the water. The tight end posted the best vertical jump for the position since 2003, and set another record for tight ends in the broad jump.

Eli Stowers height, weight

Stowers was measured at the combine, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 239 pounds. He used to play quarterback, but transitioned to tight end and found way more success, especially with the presence of Diego Pavia joining the Commodores ahead of the 2024 season.

Stowers had a vertical jump that was registered at 45.5". This was the highest vertical for a tight end since 2003, per Adam Schefter. It is also the third-highest vertical at the NFL Combine overall since 1999, per Benjamin Solak.

Eli Stowers broad jump

Stowers set a combine record for his broad jump. The Vanderbilt TE jumped 11 ft. 3 inches to set the all-time NFL Combine record for a tight end.

Eli Stowers 40 time

Stowers ran an 4.51-sec 40-yard dash. Currently, that is tied for the second-fastest time for a tight end at this year's Combine, behind Oregon's Kenyon Saddiq, who set the all-time NFL Combine record for a tight end.
