Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night afternoon open thread:
- As the usual publish time for this open thread was within a few hours of the NFL Combine workouts today, I figured I’d just combine (ba dmmm tssss) the two. So, as you’re watching the defensive backs and tight ends work out today, do you have any favorites at either position group in the 2026 draft class?
- As everyone expected, the NFL preventing the NFLPA from publicly releasing their yearly report cards didn’t do anything to stop them from being leaked to the press anyway. One anecdote from the Steelers’ league-worst score was that the locker room only had five bathroom stalls. That begs the question: What’s the proper number?
- Which one of the Steelers’ grades surprised you the most?
- Former Penn State star (and one-time Steelers quarterback) Trace McSorley recently joined the Bills coaching staff. Which current Steeler do you see as most likely to coach in the NFL one day?
- Plenty of analysts have noted there seem to be less blue-chip prospects in this year’s draft than usual — by the time the Steelers pick at No. 21, the available talent might not be as great as usual. But if the Steelers had the No. 2 pick in the draft (that’s to say, Fernando Mendoza is not available, even by trade up), who would you select?
- It’s interview season for draft prospects. Tell us about the toughest (or funniest) job interview question you’ve had to answer.
