The NFL Scouting Combine started on Sunday, but Thursday marks the first day of televised workouts. Today, it starts with the defensive line and linebacker positions, where the Steelers have shown early interest in their Combine meetings.
You can view the Combine on NFL Network starting at 3 p.m. EST, as well as a full list of combine invitees here.
Starting things off, potential first-round defensive tackle Caleb Banks of Florida ran a 5.05-second 40-yard dash (unofficial) at 6’6, 327 pounds.
Penn State’s Zane Durant then ran a 4.76-second 40-yard dash (unofficial) at 6’1, 290 pounds.
If you can’t follow along on television, NFL.com tracks results that are sortable by drills and position here.
As for the rest of the event, defensive backs and tight ends will work out Friday, running backs, quarterbacks, and wide receivers will work out on Saturday, and offensive linemen will work out on Sunday. You can view a more comprehensive schedule here.
