Kasparov Warned of Russian Death List

Chess legend Garry Kasparov has been warned by American and Lithuanian security services that he and his colleague Ivan Tjutrin are on a Russian assassination list.

Kremlin critic and chess legend Garry Kasparov (63) revealed that he and his colleague Ivan Tjutrin, co-founder of the Free Russia Forum, have been placed on a Russian death list. The warning came from American and Lithuanian security services, according to Kasparov's social media statement.

The Free Russia Forum, founded in 2016, supports the Ukrainian military and organizes anti-war conferences. Russia designated the forum as an "undesirable organization" in 2023 and added it to its "terrorist organizations" list in 2025. Kasparov's announcement follows the U.S. Department of Justice's indictment of five alleged Russian intelligence agents for conspiring to carry out attacks and assassinations globally. forestarrow.help
