During Thursday's round at the Masters, Xander Schauffele's drive on the par-5 eighth hole appeared to come to rest in a spectator's merchandise bag, just a few feet left of the fairway. After marking the spot with a tee, Schauffele removed the ball, handed off the bag to a woman in pink and white, and continued his round without penalty.
Schauffele made par on the hole and finished the front nine in 1 under par. However, he faced some challenges on the par-4 ninth, with his tee shot landing in pine straw and his second shot finding a bunker before splashing out to within inches of the hole.
