Soler hit a two-run home run in the first inning but charged the mound after a 97 mph fastball sailed past his head in the fifth. The two exchanged punches before being ejected, with Soler eventually tackled by Braves players. The Angels lost 7-2, managing only five hits.
Manager Kurt Suzuki defended Soler, noting the head-high pitch felt intentional. "Anytime you get thrown at your head... it's dangerous," Suzuki said.
