Frahm Records Save As Huskers Top Rutgers 5-3

Jordy Frahm secured her ninth save of the season, pitching out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh inning to preserve Nebraska's 5-3 victory over Rutgers.

The #4 Huskers appeared to be cruising with a 5-1 lead after six innings, but Rutgers mounted a comeback in the seventh. With runners on corners and a 5-3 score, Frahn entered and induced three consecutive outs, including striking out Rutgers' top hitter Sam Rohwer with the potential go-ahead run at the plate.

The win improved Nebraska to 29-6 overall and 10-1 in Big Ten play. Hannah Coor made a highlight-reel catch in the second inning, while Hannah Camenzind added a home run in the third. Frahn's save extends her Nebraska single-season record to nine.
