Fissette Blames Language Barrier for Swiatek Split

Wim Fissette admitted that language barriers and a mismatch with the team structure caused his coaching stint with Iga Swiatek to end early. Swiatek will face Magdalena Frech at the Charleston Open on April 5.

The former coach said the partnership never clicked and that Swiatek was uncomfortable compared to her time under Tomasz Wiktorowski. She now has Francisco Roig by her side as she looks to regain momentum.
