Cubs-Guardians Postponed, Set for Doubleheader Sunday

The middle game of the weekend series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Guardians was postponed on Saturday night due to rain, with the teams set to play a traditional doubleheader on Sunday.

The Cubs-Guardians game was postponed two hours before the scheduled first pitch after weather radar showed a large cell of rain and thunderstorms approaching that was expected to last at least four hours.

The doubleheader will begin at 1:10 p.m. EDT on Sunday, with Edward Cabera (1-0) facing Slade Cecconi (0-1) in the first game and left-handers Shota Imanaga (0-1) and Parker Messick (1-0) set to match up in the nightcap.
