Panthers Target Thieneman in 2026 Draft

After a playoff run in 2025, the Carolina Panthers are targeting Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman with their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Carolina Panthers, coming off a 2025 playoff appearance, have several draft picks including No. 19 in the first round. GM Dan Morgan added defensive talent in free agency with linebacker Devin Lloyd and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, but still needs to address positions of need including SLB, TE, and center.

Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman stands out as the Panthers' top target who could fill their biggest hole. If unavailable at No. 19, Carolina may consider Texas Tech's Jacob Rodriguez in the second round, Ohio State's Max Klare at tight end, or Florida's Jake Slaughter at center later in the draft.
