Georgia State Unveils 5-Year Plan to Boost Fundraising and Attendance

Georgia State University Athletics has unveiled a five‑year plan to raise $10 million in annual fundraising and boost fan attendance by 50%. The strategy focuses on facility upgrades, revenue sharing for student‑athletes, and a new general manager to drive growth.

The plan, announced by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb, sets ambitious goals to increase annual fundraising to $10 million and lift fan attendance by 50%. It includes appointing a general manager to oversee revenue growth and expanding name, image and likeness opportunities for student‑athletes.

Key projects feature a new baseball stadium, covered football practice field, and upgraded basketball and volleyball facilities as part of the Summerhill “College Town Downtown” vision. The university also aims to exceed $3 million in revenue sharing for athletes through NIL and other initiatives.
