Torino sacks Baroni, names D’Aversa as new coach

Torino dismissed Marco Baroni following a 3-0 loss to Genoa, marking the club's fourth consecutive winless match. The team played the second half with ten men and sits 15th in the Serie A table, three points above the relegation zone.

Roberto D’Aversa, 50, was named head coach on a contract until June 30. The former midfielder has managed Empoli, Lecce, Sampdoria, Parma and Virtus Lanciano.
