De Reuck Scores as Simba Beat Tanzania Prisons

South African defender Rushine De Reuck scored from the penalty spot as Simba SC defeated Tanzania Prisons 2-0 in the NBC Tanzanian Premier League on Sunday.

Selemani Mwalimu broke the deadlock in the 19th minute before De Reuck doubled the lead just before halftime. The victory sees Simba climb to fourth position with 22 points from nine matches, though they still have seven games in hand over league leaders JKT Tanzania.

Simba was competing in the CAF Champions League earlier, where they were eliminated in the group stages. De Reuck, who joined the Reds of Msimbazi in July 2025 after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, has now scored three goals in 18 appearances. The 30-year-old defender is reportedly close to signing a new contract with the club. Barker's team will return to action with a match against third-placed Pamba Jiji on Wednesday afternoon.
