MSU Sullivan Progressing After Back Injury

Noah Sullivan is progressing well after a back injury and could return to Mississippi State's lineup after taking batting practice for the first time.

Mississippi State baseball starting first baseman/designated hitter Noah Sullivan missed a third straight game on Feb. 20 due to a back injury. Coach Brian O'Connor reported Sullivan took batting practice for the first time and felt really good, with the expectation he could return to the lineup if he continues to progress.

The No. 6 Bulldogs (5-0) defeated Delaware 9-2 at Dudy Noble Field. Sullivan, a preseason All-SEC first team selection who batted .345 with 15 home runs in 2025, has only played in two games this season due to injury and suspension.
