Evans Predicted to Join Commanders in 2026

According to Sports Illustrated, Mike Evans is predicted to leave the Buccaneers and join the Washington Commanders for the 2026-2027 NFL season.

Evans, the Texas A&M legend and six-time Pro Bowler, would be making his first move from Tampa Bay since being drafted 7th overall in 2014. His 11 consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons ended this year due to injuries.

The Commanders are looking to build around quarterback Jayden Daniels and aim for their first Super Bowl since 1992. Washington's offense ranked 24th in the league with 184.1 passing yards per game in 2025, making Evans a potential game-changer despite interest from other NFL teams.
