Olympics Day 14: Halfpipe Drama Continues

World champion Finley Melville Ives lost a ski mid-air during the halfpipe competition on day 14 of the Winter Olympics 2026, dropping him to the bottom of the leaderboard.

In the halfpipe event, world champion Finley Melville Ives became the first competitor to take to the slopes but lost one of his skis mid-air, resulting in a poor score and last place position on the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, former US silver medalist Gus Kenworthy, who switched to Team GB, is also competing despite receiving death threats following his protest where he urinated to write 'fuck ICE' in the snow during the 2014 Games.
