Colts QB Richardson Needs Change of Scenery

ESPN's Aaron Schatz has named Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. as one of NFL players who could use a 'change of scenery' this offseason.

Richardson's performance with Indianapolis has not met expectations, posting a 45.0 QBR in four starts as a rookie (2023) and a 47.4 QBR in 11 starts in 2024. He missed most of the 2025 season after suffering a fractured orbital bone during pregame warmups.

With the Colts expected to sign Daniel Jones to a multi-year extension and Riley Leonard showing promise as a backup, Richardson faces an uncertain future. The 24-year-old former 4th overall pick carries a $10.8M cap hit for next season, putting the Colts in a difficult decision-making position.
