Moore Gets Hearing to Challenge Arrest Validity

Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has been granted an evidentiary hearing to challenge the validity of his arrest following his firing in a scandal.

The hearing, scheduled for March 2, will allow Moore's attorney to argue that a detective failed to disclose that the alleged victim worked closely with him within the football program, potentially creating a one-sided picture for establishing probable cause.

Moore was fired in December and arrested hours later, facing charges including third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering. Prosecutors maintain the evidence, including threatening messages, justifies the arrest despite the undisclosed working relationship.
