Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß has hailed coach Vincent Kompany as "a lottery win" for the club. The Belgian, who replaced Thomas Tuchel in summer 2024 and signed a contract extension until 2029 in October, has built strong connections with players.
"He has achieved exactly what Thomas Tuchel was never able to do here: Vincent immediately built a close connection with his players and showed genuine passion for them," Hoeneß said. "He never demands specific players and addresses issues internally, empowering his players instead of weakening them."
