Cain Velasquez, the former UFC heavyweight champion, was released on parole after serving 11 months in prison for a shooting incident that occurred in February 2022. He pleaded no contest to attempted murder and other charges, and was credited with 1,283 days served, including house arrest.
Velasquez, who also had brief stints in WWE and AAA, had previously fought Brock Lesnar in a WWE match in 2019. He is now pursuing a civil case against the alleged shooter, while the criminal trial for the shooter remains pending.
