Diaz: Liverpool Exit Was 'Good Decision'

Former Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has defended his summer exit, insisting his £65 million move to Bayern Munich was a 'good decision' made with conviction.

In an interview with Sky Germany, the Colombian international explained his motivations for leaving Liverpool: 'When FC Bayern approached me, I knew from the very first moment that I wanted to make this move.' Diaz has since become an integral part of Bayern's attack under Vincent Kompany, contributing 19 goals and 15 assists this season.

The former Liverpool player acknowledged cultural challenges, particularly with the language, but praised teammate Harry Kane, calling him 'a machine' who 'really does everything well.' Liverpool made the decision to sell during a period of transition under Arne Slot, who was reshaping the squad after tactical weaknesses were exposed earlier in the season.
