49ers Rule Out Sam Okuayinonu vs. Rams

Published September 4, 2026 · Updated September 4, 2026 · NBC Sports

The San Francisco 49ers announced that defensive end Sam Okuayinonu will not play in Thursday's opener against the Rams.

Okuayinonu was not on the team flight to Melbourne and will miss Thursday's opener due to a foot injury. The 49ers confirmed he will not play, removing him from the defensive line rotation. Despite Okuayinonu's absence, tight end George Kittle and defensive end Nick Bosa have joined the team and are expected to suit up against the Rams. iwanktv.club
