Browns New Stadium to Feature Artificial Turf

The Cleveland Browns will play on artificial turf in their new covered stadium in suburban Brook Park, moving from their current grass surface.

The Browns' new stadium will have artificial turf for NFL games, though it can accommodate grass when hosting soccer matches. This change will tip the NFL's balance from 16 teams on grass and 16 on turf to 17 on turf and 15 on grass. rocore.sbs

Other teams may follow suit, with incoming Seahawks owners possibly switching from turf to grass. The Bills chose grass for their new stadium, while the Chiefs' new domed stadium has not made a final decision.
