Panthers Place Brazzell on IR, Sign Metayer

Carolina Panthers have placed rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell on injured reserve due to a knee injury suffered in practice.

The Panthers announced that third-round pick Chris Brazzell will undergo surgery to repair his lateral collateral ligament, ending his rookie season. The former Tennessee All-SEC selection was expected to make an immediate impact but will now spend the year rehabbing for 2027.

To fill the roster spot, Carolina signed tight end Chamon Metayer, who was originally signed by the Steelers as an undrafted rookie in April but was cut by Pittsburgh in June. zeppelin.cool
