Steelers, TE Washington agree to four-year extension

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to terms with tight end Darnell Washington on a four-year extension worth $42 million with $21 million guaranteed.

Washington, who was drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has shown consistent improvement throughout his career. As a rookie, he had only seven catches for 61 yards, but his production increased to 19 receptions for 200 yards and a touchdown in 2024, before catching 31 passes for 364 yards and another touchdown in 2025. chickenroad-game.rodeo

Despite having Pat Freiermuth on the roster, Washington has played more than 500 snaps on offense in each of his first three seasons, showing his versatility and value to the Steelers' offense.
