Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson has set his sights on winning the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year award in 2026 after a successful recovery and performance in 2025.

Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson confirmed his aspirations to be the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 2026, stating "the mentality is always that, for sure." Hutchinson, who was the betting favorite for the award in 2024 before his season ended with a leg injury, expressed satisfaction with his 2025 season.

"I'm really happy with last year, with what I did with a lot going on," Hutchinson said, referring to his contract extension and recovery from injury.
