Colts' Richardson Needs Change of Scenery

ESPN's Aaron Schatz has included Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. among NFL players who could benefit from a "change of scenery" this offseason.

Richardson has struggled to find consistency with the Colts, posting a 45.0 QBR in four starts as a rookie in 2023 and a 47.4 QBR in 11 starts in 2024. He missed most of the 2025 season due to a fractured orbital bone suffered during pregame warmups.

With the Colts expected to sign Daniel Jones to a new contract and Riley Leonard emerging as a potential backup, Richardson faces an uncertain future. The 24-year-old former 4th overall pick carries a projected $10.8M cap hit for next season, forcing the Colts to make a decision on their young quarterback.
