India will tour New Zealand from October to December 2026 for a full multi-format series. The tour will feature 12 matches across T20Is, ODIs and Tests, making it the largest bilateral tour in New Zealand’s cricket history.

The series will begin with five T20Is, starting on 22 October, with matches in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton. This will be followed by a five-match ODI series, which will conclude in Mount Maunganui. The tour will end with two Test matches, to be played in Wellington and Christchurch.

With the 2027 ODI World Cup approaching, the series will serve as valuable preparation for both sides.

India and New Zealand last met in the T20 World Cup final earlier this year. Prior to that, the Black Caps toured India for a white-ball series, where they won the ODI series 2-1 but lost the T20I series 4-1.

India have not toured New Zealand for a Test series since the 2019–20 season, although the Kiwis have visited India twice during that period. Their most memorable tour came in 2024–25, when they completed a historic 3-0 Test series whitewash on Indian soil.
