The big early news pre-stage was the announcement from Visma-Lease a Bike revealing that defending Pauline Ferrand-Prévot would not be starting stage eight. The Frenchwoman had not been able to live with the GC contenders when the racing got tough this week and her team have now said she had come down with an illness and was withdrawing from the race. Unfortunately, Pauline was not feeling well this morning. In consultation with the medical staff, it has been decided that she will not start today. We wish Pauline a speedy recovery!

Det verkar som att Restory: Chill Electronics Repair har träffat helt rätt hos spelarna. Mindre än 24 timmar efter lanseringen har spelet nämligen passerat 15000 samtidiga spelare på Steam, samtidigt som i alla fall nästan hundratusen exemplar har sålts.

Utvecklarna, som delar med sig av informationen i en community note på Steam, är förstås smått överväldigade av mottagandet och berättar att spelet dessutom har landat på 97% positiva recensioner på Steam.

Och arbetet har redan börjat med den första uppdateringen. Utvecklarna säger att den ska rätta till buggar och ta hand om feedback från spelarna, och att den väntas släppas inom kort. Inte illa för ett spel som knappt hunnit vara ute i ett dygn - men det är tydligt att trenden med att restaurera och laga saker är hett även digitalt.
