USA slo Tyskland – ubeseiret i OL-hockeyen
Med 5-1 mot Tyskland søndag har USA vunnet alle sine kamper i gruppespillet i ishockey under årets OL. Canada er likevel bedre plassert før kvartfinalene.
Med tre seire og ni poeng vant USA sin gruppe suverent. De tre andre lagene – Tyskland, Danmark og Latvia – har en seier hver og må ut i en kvalifiseringsrunde for å avgjøre om de blir med videre i turneringen.
Men selv med full pott, er ikke USA beste land hittil i lekene i Italia. Canada har nemlig bedre målforskjell enn naboene i sør og blir dermed toppseedet før kvartfinalene.
USA skal møte vinneren av kvalifiseringskampen mellom Sverige og Latvia på tirsdag, mens Canada møter Danmark eller Tsjekkia. Kvartfinalene spilles onsdag. (NTB)
