Pyramids Extend Perfect Premier League Start
Pyramids defeated Al Masry to maintain their perfect Premier League record, while Zamalek and El Bank El Ahly also claimed victories.
Pyramids moved to nine points from three matches after Ahmed Samy scored the only goal at New Suez Stadium. The defender met Mohamed El-Shibi’s corner with a powerful header in the 11th minute.

Ouda Al-Fakhoury then left the pitch through injury shortly before half-time, with Nasser Maher replacing him.
Pyramids protected their advantage after the break and secured a third successive clean sheet. They have scored six goals without conceding so far this season.

The defeat ended Al Masry’s winning start and left them fifth with six points. Pyramids moved two points clear of second-placed Zamalek, although several teams have yet to play their third match.
Zamalek Hold Off Suez Petrojet
Zamalek reached seven points after overcoming Suez Petrojet 2-1 at Cairo International Stadium. Suez Petrojet made the brighter start and had an early goal disallowed for a foul. The visitors also struck the woodwork twice during the match.
However, Hossam Ashraf headed Zamalek ahead in the 40th minute after meeting Chico Banza’s cross from the left.
Mohamed El-Sayed doubled the lead in the 63rd minute after coming on for Adam Kaied. He carried the ball into the penalty area before finishing into the bottom corner.
Suez Petrojet reduced the gap from a late penalty. Mahdi Soliman initially denied Godwin Chika, but officials ordered a retake because the goalkeeper left his line early.
Badr Moussa converted the second attempt in stoppage time. The goal ended Zamalek’s run of clean sheets but did not prevent their second consecutive victory.
Suez Petrojet remained 15th with one point from three matches.
El Bank El Ahly Claim First Points
El Bank El Ahly collected their first points of the season with a 1-0 win over Asyut Petroleum at Borg El Arab Stadium.
The teams remained level until Mohamed Nasr struck from outside the penalty area in the 74th minute. His shot deflected off Asyut defender Mahmoud Oukel and wrong-footed the goalkeeper.
El Bank El Ahly held their lead through the closing stages after losing their first two matches. They moved to 11th with three points, while Asyut Petroleum remained on two.
The results followed a second gameweek in which Zamalek beat El Bank El Ahly 3-0, and Pyramids defeated Abu Qir Fertilizers 2-0.
Al Masry had also finished the round among four teams on six points.

برشلونة يتعاقد مع البرازيلي غابرييل جيسوس حتى 2029
أعلن نادي برشلونة الإسباني، اليوم الثلاثاء، تعاقده رسميا مع المهاجم البرازيلي غابرييل جيسوس قادما من أرسنال الإنجليزي، في آخر أيام فترة الانتقالات الصيفية، بعقد يمتد حتى صيف 2029.
وخضع جيسوس للفحص الطبي، أمس الاثنين، قبل أن يحضر مباراة برشلونة أمام رايو فايكانو ضمن الجولة الثالثة من الدوري الإسباني.
ولم يكشف برشلونة عن القيمة الرسمية للصفقة، فيما أشارت تقارير صحفية إلى أن النادي الكتالوني سيدفع نحو 10 ملايين يورو لأرسنال، إلى جانب 5 ملايين يورو كمتغيرات وحوافز.
ويأتي تعاقد برشلونة مع جيسوس لتعزيز مركز المهاجم الصريح، بعد رحيل البولندي روبرت ليفاندوفسكي والإسباني فيران توريس خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية.
وخلال فترة الإعداد، اعتمد المدرب الألماني هانزي فليك على المهاجم المصري حمزة عبد الكريم، الذي شارك في الدقائق الخمس الأخيرة من مواجهة رايو فايكانو.
وانضم جيسوس إلى أرسنال عام 2022 قادما من مانشستر سيتي، وخاض بقميص النادي اللندني 123 مباراة في مختلف المسابقات، سجل خلالها 32 هدفا وصنع 22.
وخلال الموسم الماضي، شارك المهاجم البرازيلي في 14 مباراة مع أرسنال، سجل خلالها ثلاثة أهداف.
وكان نادي نابولي الإيطالي قد دخل في مفاوضات مع أرسنال لضم جيسوس خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الحالية، غير أن المفاوضات توقفت بسبب تمسك النادي الإنجليزي بالحصول على 20 مليون يورو مقابل التخلي عن خدمات اللاعب.

I'm happy to be plan-B to Julian Alvarez: Gabriel Jesus
Madrid: FC Barcelona confirmed the signing of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus from Premier League champion Arsenal on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old has joined for a fee of around 10 million euros and signed a contract until the end of June 2029.
Gabriel Jesus' arrival will end Barcelona's efforts to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, with Atletico unwilling to sell the Argentine international to a club it considers to have made an illegal approach to the forward.
Although he is Barcelona's 'back-up' plan, Gabriel Jesus said he did not feel offended at being 'Plan-B'.
"This doesn't bother me and it doesn't offend me what offends me is when people call me a bad guy and no one's ever said that to me in my life," said the forward.
"What bothers me is not playing football. I have the opportunity to be here at Barca. I had it 10 years ago, and life took me down a different path. I'm here now and I will do my best. I am someone who always works hard and hard work always pays off," said Gabriel Jesus.
