WETSUIT REVIEW - BLUE70 REACTION SLEEVELESS 2022
So why is the new Reaction Sleeveless from Blue 0 such an upgrade on the previous model.
I decide to give this suit its first swims at the Salalah 70.3 and the Yousef Al Mulla Memorial triathlon. In Salalah the water temp was called at 28 degrees so wet suits were not allowed. However different story at the local race in Ghantoot. Although the water temp was probably around 27 degrees I decided to give it a go. First of swam a PB for an Olympic so off to a good start! At no time did I feel too hot in the suit when swimming with total flexibility in the shoulder and arms helping to keep cool. Keeping the core body temperature cool can help when heading out for a hot bike and run.
The neckline on the new suits is lower than the previous version which helps reduce chafing. Initially it did feel a little tight around the throat area but that soon disappeared once I started swimming. The buoyancy profile of 4mm in the chest, 5mm in the hips and 4mm in the legs suiting my style of swimming. This suit has 1.5mm leg panels that allow a super quick exit so you can get quickly down the road on the bike. No issues with locating the zip cord and the suit slides down to the hips really easy for a comfortable run into transition.
The new 2022 Reaction wet suit from Blue70 is the perfect all round suit: ideal for both both training and racing. It packs in some of the Helix product features making this a really great bang for the buck.
Of all the Blue70 suits the Reaction men’s sleeveless is the suit I enjoy swimming in the most. It was my preferred suit for Dubai Ironman 70.3 last year and even though there is a string argument to say that sleeved would be faster for a comfortable swim and a super-fast transition this is more flexible. For Dubai this is the perfect all year round suit.

The Ultimate Guide to the Best Arm Exercise Equipment & Machines
If heading to the gym isn’t your thing or your schedule is too packed, but you still want to build strong, sculpted arms, home-arm workout equipment is the solution. You don’t need to splurge on high-end machines to get an effective workout. Many of the best arm exercise equipment options are affordable and versatile, making them perfect for any home gym setup.
Understanding Arm Workouts: More Than Just Biceps
Before diving into the equipment, it’s important to understand that arm workouts involve more than just your biceps. While bicep exercises are essential, the triceps—the larger muscle group in your upper arms—also play a crucial role in developing well-rounded arm strength. Additionally, don’t forget your forearms. A strong grip is vital for many exercises, from lifting weights to performing bodyweight movements. A balanced arm workout should include exercises for all these muscle groups: biceps, triceps, and forearms.
1. Dumbbells: The Ultimate Free Weights
Dumbbells are a staple in any arm workout routine. Their versatility makes them one of the best arm workout equipment options for beginners and experienced athletes. Whether aiming for muscle endurance, strength, or hypertrophy, dumbbells can help you get there.
- Benefits: Dumbbells allow for natural movements that better target specific muscles. You can control the weight and motion more effectively than with machines, enabling you to focus on the areas you want to build.
- Muscles Trained: Dumbbells work the biceps, triceps, and forearms with exercises like curls, kickbacks, and wrist curls.
- Suitability for Home: Their compact size and affordability make them ideal for home gyms.
- Price Range: Expect to pay between $100 and $400, depending on the weight set.
- Pro Tip: For forearm development, try palms-down wrist curls. For upper arms, include bicep curls and triceps kickbacks.

2. Barbell Weight Set: Versatile Strength Training
A barbell weight set is another excellent option for arm training. With the right technique, you can use barbells for more compound movements like squats, bench presses, and deadlifts, which help build upper body and arm strength.
- Benefits: Barbells allow for heavier lifts, which is ideal for building muscle mass and grip strength.
- Muscles Trained: Biceps, triceps, and shoulders, depending on the exercise performed.
- Suitability for Home: A barbell set is perfect for any home gym, adding variety to your strength routine.
- Price Range: A good set costs between $150 and $800.
- Pro Tip: Before loading the bar with heavy weights, ensure you’ve mastered the proper form to avoid injury.
3. Power Tower: Bodyweight Arm Exercises
The power tower offers multiple exercise options using your body weight, such as pull-ups, chin-ups, and dips. While it’s commonly seen as equipment for the back and chest, it’s also a powerhouse for arm workouts.
- Benefits: It targets multiple muscle groups and is fantastic for upper body and arm conditioning.
- Muscles Trained: Biceps, triceps, shoulders, and even back muscles.
- Suitability for Home: Compact and multifunctional, it’s a great investment for a home gym.

- Pro Tip: Focus on the upper part of the tower to perform dips and pull-ups, which engage both the biceps and triceps.
4. Preacher Curl Arm Workout Machine
Preacher curl machines isolate the biceps, forcing you into a controlled, eccentric movement. This type of movement is ideal for muscle growth and strength building.
- Benefits: It’s perfect for isolating and maximizing your bicep gains.
- Muscles Trained: Biceps, specifically targeting the short and long heads of the muscle.
- Suitability for Home: Though larger and more expensive than dumbbells, it’s a valuable addition to any home gym for serious arm training.
- Price Range: Expect to pay around $250 to $400.
- Pro Tip: Adjust the machine so that your upper arms lie flat on the pad for maximum effectiveness.
5. Bicep Curl Machine
As the name implies, this machine is designed to mimic the movement of bicep curls. Before you buy arm workout equipment, remember it provides an easy and effective way to work your biceps and forearms.

- Suitability for Home: Adding this machine will give you targeted bicep workouts if you have space.
- Price Range: Typically costs between $150 and $400.
- Pro Tip: Use this machine at the end of your workout to give your biceps an extra pump after completing your primary exercises.
6. Seated Dip Machine
This often-overlooked machine is excellent for working your triceps and shoulders. Compared to free-standing dip exercises, it offers the added benefit of safety and support.
