On Friday night, Wisconsin drilled Michigan State basketball, defeating the Spartans in a massive 92-71 win, gaining their third top ten win of the season. The Badgers could do no wrong on this night, drilling shots at a high clip, and suffocating the Spartans on defense.
Following the game, Badgers head coach Greg Gard spoke to the media, talking about the emphatic performance his team had:
- "By large, we were able to play with the lead and stay aggressive. It's been a pretty decent few days here... We've got more things to accomplish going forward."
- Greg Gard on Boyd's "wild" shot selection: "Define wild... you have to let your horses buck." Referred to Hepburn, Storr, Tonje and even Blackwell as guys you just have to let play.
