Viktor Gyokeres has found his goalscoring groove at Arsenal following a stuttering start in North London.
The Swedish striker scored twice as Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in the North London Derby at the weekend, in a morale-boosting win for the Gunners.
Gyokeres’ goals extended Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points, while his brace continued his rich form since the turn of the year.
The 27-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions for Arsenal this season, with more than half of those goals (8) coming in 2026.
No player in the Premier League has scored more goals than Gyokeres across all competitions since January 1st in an encouraging upturn in form.
Joao Pedro, who has scored in five of his last six league appearances for Chelsea, ranks second with seven goals across all competitions. The Brazilian has nine goals and assists in his last six league games for the West Londoners.
Also on seven goals is Anthony Gordon, in large part thanks to his Champions League heroics for Newcastle last week. Gordon scored four goals in Newcastle’s 6-1 win at Qarabag, as the Magpies took a giant step towards the competition’s last 16.
The England international became only the sixth player to score four goals in a Champions League knockout round game. Incredibly, all of his goals came before half-time.
