According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Dimarco has now become the first defender to provide assists in five consecutive Serie A appearances in the last 20 seasons of Italian football.

It is a remarkable statistic that cements his status as one of the division’s most productive attacking threats from a defensive position.

Corriere were fulsome in their praise, describing him as “undoubtedly an offensive factor” and highlighting a telling trend under Chivu.

“The new coach has tuned his engine to perfection,” they wrote.
