Girls basketball roundup: East Lansing, Mason, Portland earn league wins

EAST LANSING 61, OKEMOS 49

EAST LANSING — Sydney Black had 19 points as the Trojans (15-6, 9-3) picked up a CAAC Blue victory over Okemos (12-7, 6-6). Naomi Knox contributed 18 points and Olivia Adarkwa added 10 points for East Lansing

MASON 48, WILLIAMSTON 30

MASON — Josie Lator led all scorers with 20 points to help the Bulldogs pick up a CAAC Red win over Williamston. Lyza Wendt finished with 10 points and Zoe Wendt chipped in eight points for Mason (9-10, 7-3). Ava Eddy and Sophia Gaytan each had a team-best seven points for the Hornets (9-11, 5-5). JV score: Mason d. Williamston 

PORTLAND 79, CHARLOTTE 47

PORTLAND — Lilly Thelen scored a team-high 27 points on her senior night while leading the Raiders in their CAAC White win over Charlotte. Leigha Roberson added 25 points and Summer Stopczynski scored 13 points for Portland.

POTTERVILLE 39, PERRY 27

POTTERVILLE — A 14-4 run in the third quarter pushed the Vikings to a CMAC home victory over Perry. Aubrey Gasch led all scorers with 14 points and Addison Dickerson and Remmi Lienerth each chipped in six points for Potterville (3-16, 1-15). Josie Logghe scored a team-best nine points for the Ramblers (3-16, 0-16).

ITHACA 58, SAGINAW NOUVEL CC 33

ITHACA — Libby Maurer led the Yellowjackets with a team-best 23 points as Ithaca secured a TVC Blue win over Saginaw Nouvel CC (4-16, 2-7). Alyssa Polash and Emma McCune each added on nine points for Ithaca (12-9, 6-3).

FRANKENMUTH 48, ALMA 32

Morgan Seeley had 12 points, six rebounds and added three assists for the Panthers in their TVC loss to Frankenmuth. Lauren Seeley added eight points for Alma.

HASLETT 63, EASTERN 33

Christina Dixon surpassed 1,000 career points with her 12 points in a CAAC Red road victory over Eastern. Avery Hannah led all scorers with 18 points and Kaitlyn Johnson chipped in 13 points for Haslett (18-2, 10-0). Brooklynn Griggs scored a team-best nine points for the Quakers (7-12, 2-8). JV score: Haslett d. Eastern

JONESVILLE 52, LESLIE 46

LESLIE — Alyssa Wing scored a team-high 19 points for the Blackhawks in a tight Cascades crossover defeat to Jonesville (12-9). Haizy Haindel finished with 15 points and Raquel Spalding tacked on seven points for Leslie (8-13).
