In late December, 2027 four-star wide receiver Julian Caldwell released his final three schools consisting of the Oregon Ducks, Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders. As he continues to search for the right program, Caldwell has scheduled an official visit to Oregon, taking place from June 12-14.
Caldwell is a consensus four-star recruit, the No. 12 wide receiver and No. 59 player overall, per 247 Sports Composite. He hails from Argyle, TX, where he's the No. 9 player in the state.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder visited Eugene on Jan. 24 and also took a visit to Texas Tech last month. He has a visit scheduled at Texas on June 19, the weekend after visiting Oregon. Caldwell has a bevy of offers from every Power 4 conference, yet decided on the in-state Longhorns and Red Raiders with the Ducks representing his only out of state option.

Oregon has already had massive success with another fellow Texas wide receiver, Dakorien Moore, who's from Duncanville, under an hour away from Caldwell's hometown of Argyle. Moore was the top-ranked receiver in the 2025 class and committed to the Ducks, beginning the season with a flurry of strong performances before going down with an injury late in the year.
If Caldwell were to follow in Moore's footsteps, it would be a significant win for the Oregon program in landing one of the most talented wide receivers in the 2027 class.
