The Miami Dolphins are in full rebuild mode this offseason. The team has cleaned house from top to bottom and we are already getting word of the team making roster cuts to free up salary cap space and get a a fresh start with the roster. We put together a new seven-round mock draft for the Dolphins based on some of these moves along with the notion that plenty more are on the way.
First round - EDGE David Bailey - Texas Tech
Bradley Chubb is out and David Bailey is a massive upgrade at edge defender.
Second round - CB Keionte Scott - Miami
With no offensive lineman on the board here who grades out close, we opt for the long, speedy Keionte Scott who stepped up huge in 2025.
Third round - OT Drew Shelton - Penn State
Shelton will need to settle on a position in the NFL, but that versatility and high-level play are enticing.
Third round - WR Ted Hurst - Georgia State
If Hurst played at Georgia instead of Georgia State, he could be in the mix to be a first-round pick.
Third round - QB Trinidad Chambliss - Ole Miss
Miami has to settle the quarterback position, so we take a flyer here on the athleticism of Chambliss to create some competition on the depth chart.
Fourth round - OL Matt Gublin - Michigan State
Similar to Shelton, we love that Gublin has double-digit starts at all three interior offensive line positions and is an excellent run blocker.
Fifth round - TE Tanner Koziol - Houston
Huge receiving threat who slides because he doesn't offer much in the run game.
Seventh round - S Xavier Nwankpa - Iowa
By the time the draft gets here, Nwankpa will be much further up boards but for now, we will take him as a value choice at free safety.
