Two American Hockey League players have received 20-game suspensions.
The league announced Tuesday that Rockford IceHogs goaltender Stanislav Berezhnoy and Coachella Valley Firebirds forward David Goyette have each been suspended as a result of violating the terms of the AHL/PHPA Performance Enhancing Substance Program.
According to the league, Berezhnoy has already served one game of his suspension and will be eligible to return to play on April 11, while Goyette will be eligible to return on April 10.
Berezhnoy, 22, has appeared in 15 games for the IceHogs in 2025-26, his first season in the AHL, posting a 3.18 goals-against average and .888 save percentage.
Goyette, 21, has recorded three goals and seven assists in 47 games with the Firebirds this season. The St-Jérôme, Que., native was drafted 61st overall by the Kraken in 2022.
