The Auburn Tigers have been named in the top five of 2027 three-star linebacker Joakim Gouda, per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
Gouda is a three-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. According to 247Sports, he made an official visit to Auburn on June 19th. He is being recruited by defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin and outside linebackers coach Brad Wilson. Gouda is from Douglasville, Georgia, and attends South Paulding High School. 247Sports has him rated as the No. 83 player in Georgia and the No. 62 linebacker nationally. He picked up 100 total tackles during the 2025 season and two sacks.
Auburn currently only has two commits for the 2027 recruiting class. They have received pledges from defensive lineman Donivan Moore and tight end Trae Proctor. Both players are also three-star players like Gouda. Those two commits give the Tigers the No. 35 recruiting class in 2027.
The other schools that Gouda is considering are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. According to Fawcett, Gouda plans on making an official visit to all five finalists. It will be interesting to see how Gouda develops during his senior season at South Paulding and how the Tigers will convince him to sign with the team. A great season could elevate Gouda to a bigger commitment for the Tigers.
